So last night I went to Kinch’s Xmas Party at The Rhythm Room. I think borrowing a line from Barney Stinson (HIMYM) would best describe it… Legen… wait for it… dary! It turned out to be a crazy night of Phoenix local music all-stars jammed into one of my favorite small venues in town: What Laura Says, Black Carl, Kinch, with Dear & The Headlights headlining the night (yeah, a little weird that Kinch wasn’t headlining their own party, but you’ve got to give it up to the bigger name, right?).

And while they all played some of their usual sets (a great thing for sure), it was everything else that took this show to that extra level of awesome… Interesting holiday song covers, fun collaborations between the bands, crowd participation (many in their blue PBR Santa hats)… Truly the greatest Xmas show that I’ve experienced!
